Deadlock Paige Guide

Paige is a mystic with 690 health and a rapid fire / long range kit. What each ability does and when to request Paige on a boost.

4 min read/Updated 2026-09-02
Quick answer

Paige is a support hero built around Plot Armor, a homing barrier that also buffs an ally's weapon damage, and Rallying Charge, a map-wide wave of spectral knights that heals allies and stuns enemies. Boosters leverage her to turn one strong teammate into the fight winner while Captivating Read holds enemies in place for the follow-up.

The ability set is Bookwyrm, Plot Armor, Captivating Read, Rallying Charge.

Solo boost fit

In a solo boost, an Eternus 6 booster takes your account after an encrypted credential handoff and plays Paige as the team's enabler. Bookwyrm and Captivating Read handle lane pressure and wave clear, Plot Armor goes on whichever carry is actually winning, and Rallying Charge is saved for the fights that decide objectives. She wins through allies more than raw damage, so games depend on the booster reading which teammate to back, which makes her a stable pick in grouped lobbies and a slower climb when the team refuses to fight together.

Duo boost notes

In a duo boost you play your own account next to the booster, and Paige works best when one of you commits to her and the other plays the carry she feeds. Coordinate Plot Armor: the barrier and weapon damage bonus land on the carry right before an engage, so call your dives and let the Paige player answer with the cast. Captivating Read and Rallying Charge are the two moments to collapse together: the immobilize pins targets for the carry, and the knight wave crossing the whole city heals both of you and stuns anyone caught in its path.

When to request this hero

Request Paige by name when you play a carry in duo and want the booster feeding you Plot Armor and Captivating Read setups every fight. Let the booster pick in solo, since a support that wins through teammates is a slower climb than a hero the booster can carry with directly.

FAST ANSWERS

Should I request Paige for a Deadlock boost?

Request Paige if you want a support who protects the account's stats with barriers and heals rather than risky dives. For a solo climb, most buyers get faster results letting the booster choose, since Paige's impact depends on which teammates she backs.

Is Paige better for solo or duo boosting?

Duo. Plot Armor is built to amplify a partner and Rallying Charge heals that partner from anywhere on the map, and in a duo boost that partner is you on your own account. Solo Paige works, but the booster has to rely on random teammates to convert her setups.

What makes Paige different to boost with?

Paige boosts through other players. Plot Armor turns an ally into the threat, Captivating Read holds enemies still for that ally, and Rallying Charge reaches across the entire city to heal your side and stun theirs. Most boosted heroes win their own fights; Paige wins the team's.
